Workspace Management
Your workspace is the top-level container for everything in Datafi -- users, data sources, policies, and applications. The Workspace Management page gives you centralized control over how your organization's Datafi environment looks, behaves, and is identified.
Workspace Settings
You access workspace settings from Administration > Workspace in the left navigation panel. The settings page is divided into several sections.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Workspace Name | The display name shown in the navigation bar and login screen. |
| Workspace Slug | A URL-safe identifier used in API endpoints and direct links (e.g., acme-corp). |
| Default Timezone | The timezone applied to all scheduled jobs, event timestamps, and usage reports unless overridden by a user. |
| Session Timeout | The idle duration (in minutes) before a user session expires and requires re-authentication. |
Choose your workspace slug carefully. Changing it after initial setup may break bookmarked URLs and API integrations that reference the old slug.
Branding Customization
Datafi allows you to apply your organization's visual identity across the platform. Navigate to Administration > Workspace > Branding to configure the following options.
Logos
| Logo Type | Recommended Size | Format | Where It Appears |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary Logo | 240 x 60 px | PNG, SVG | Navigation bar, login page header |
| Favicon | 32 x 32 px | ICO, PNG | Browser tab |
| Login Background | 1920 x 1080 px | PNG, JPG | Full-screen login page background |
To upload a logo:
- Navigate to Administration > Workspace > Branding.
- Click the upload area for the logo type you want to change.
- Select your image file and confirm.
- Click Save to apply the change across all users immediately.
Colors
You can customize the platform color palette to match your brand guidelines.
| Color Property | Default | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Color | #1A73E8 | Buttons, links, active navigation items |
| Secondary Color | #F4F6F8 | Backgrounds, card surfaces |
| Accent Color | #34A853 | Success indicators, highlights |
| Header Background | #FFFFFF | Top navigation bar fill |
| Header Text | #202124 | Top navigation bar text |
Enter hex color codes directly or use the color picker. Changes take effect immediately after saving.
Branding changes apply to all users in your workspace. Individual users cannot override workspace-level branding.
Tenant Configuration
For multi-tenant deployments, the tenant configuration section controls isolation and resource boundaries.
| Parameter | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Tenant ID | System-generated unique identifier for your tenant. Read-only. | Auto-assigned |
| Data Isolation Mode | Controls whether data source connections are isolated per tenant or shared. | isolated |
| Max Concurrent Queries | The maximum number of simultaneous queries your tenant can execute. | 50 |
| Storage Quota | The maximum datafile storage allocated to your tenant. | Per plan |
| API Rate Limit | Maximum API requests per minute across all users in the tenant. | 1000 |
To modify tenant-level parameters:
- Navigate to Administration > Workspace > Tenant.
- Adjust the desired values within the allowed range for your plan.
- Click Save Configuration.
Reducing the Max Concurrent Queries value while queries are actively running does not terminate in-flight queries. The new limit applies to subsequent query submissions only.
